About me

Time for You Counselling is a confidential and professional counselling service providing time for you to explore and understand your feelings, emotions and behaviours and I will work with you to support you through life’s challenges.

My name is Nina Thompson and I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor. I provide counselling support for all issues of concern to you including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship problems, bereavement and trauma through short or long term counselling, to suit your requirements and budget.

Sessions are 50 minutes and take place face-face, on-line, over the telephone or outside via walking-talking therapy.

I have a Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice (Prof.Dip PsyC.) and am an accredited member of the National Counselling Society.

As well as seeing private clients, I also work as a counsellor for a women’s counselling service so have a wealth of experience in supporting women facing various and diverse challenges.

In addition to being a counsellor I work for the University of Oxford as a Human Resources Manager I have an MSc in Management with HRM qualification from the University of Bath and am an Associate member of the Chartered institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). I have worked in HR for over 20 years and take a lead on wellbeing and welfare matters which includes one-one support for staff experiencing difficulties both at work and at home.

My extensive experience in working with people has given me the professional skills and capabilities to support you in achieving your goals.


Face – Face

Face-Face sessions take place in a calm and comfortable therapy room, located in South Oxfordshire.


On-line sessions via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype or FaceTime

Walking-Talking Therapy

Sessions can take place whilst walking within beautiful South Oxfordshire countryside locations. This option is especially popular during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Both short and long term counselling support is available

£60 – per session

£300 – for each block of 6 sessions booked in advance
